Trusted Learner Network announces two community events for 2025
ASU’s Trusted Learner Network (TLN) is excited to offer two events this year — the LER Open House with ASU’s Trusted Learner Network and the TLN Unconference — providing the digital credentialing community with distinct, yet complementary, experiences.
About the events
The LER Open House will take place on Wednesday, March 5, just after the 1EdTech Consortium’s Digital Credential Summit concludes in Phoenix, Arizona. Hosted just a five-minute walk from the Digital Credentials Summit, the Open House will allow attendees the chance to debrief on lessons learned at the Summit, make connections with fellow participants and engage in immersive activities to explore how we continue to move credentialing work forward.
Additionally, the TLN is taking its annual Unconference on the road this year, hosting our flagship event on the first day of CU Boulder’s Badge Summit. Taking place on Monday, July 21, the sixth annual Unconference invites participants to dive into an unconventional conference format that invites attendees to help shape the agenda and define the day’s discussions around real-time challenges.
Both events are free to attend, making this an unparalleled chance to gain knowledge, network with experts and advance the future of credentials without any financial barriers.
4 reasons to attend both TLN events in 2025
Curious why you should participate in both events this year? We’re sharing four reasons why you should join us in Phoenix in March and again in Boulder in July:
1. Gain a comprehensive perspective on credentialing innovation
The LER Open House gives you an inside look at ASU’s digital credentialing implementation, helping you understand what’s possible in the ecosystem. The TLN Unconference, in contrast, is all about collaborative problem-solving, where you’ll discuss, debate and co-create solutions with peers and industry leaders.
By attending both, you’ll connect the dots between research, implementation and real-world applications.
2. Expand your network with key players in the field
Both TLN events will bring together a diverse mix of practitioners focused on credentialing strategies, learner empowerment and institutional success. At the LER Open House in Pheonix, you can expand your network by connecting with colleagues who’ve just attended 1EdTech Consortium’s Digital Credentialing Summit, while the TLN Unconference will serve as a prelude to the annual UC Boulder Badge Summit and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s T3 Innovation Network meeting, all taking place in the same week.
Attending both means you’ll engage with a broader range of experts and innovators, helping you build connections that can drive meaningful change in your work.
3. Move from learning to action
The LER Open House is a knowledge-building event, giving you exposure to new technology and best practices in LERs. Then, at the TLN Unconference, you’ll be able to participate in interactive discussions, brainstorm new ideas and collaborate with others to create actionable solutions.
This learn-then-do approach ensures that you walk away with not just new insights, but also strategies and partnerships to drive impact.
4. Maximize the value of your time and travel
If you’re investing time in attending an event, why not make the most of it? Our LER Open House gives you a strong foundation in credentialing innovations, while the TLN Unconference kickstarts a week of credentialing-focused discussions at the Badge Summit.
By attending both, you’ll be better prepared, more engaged and more connected for everything that follows — ensuring that your participation leads to real outcomes.
We’ve designed this year’s TLN events to offer you hands-on opportunities to be part of the important conversations that are shaping and shifting the future of credentialing.
We hope to see you in Phoenix and Boulder this year to help the TLN continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible and advance the digital credentialing ecosystem!
